Gorie, "Mickey" and " Koi no Pecori Lesson"

Gorie, Toshiyuki Teruya (22 May 1972, Okinawa, Japan), better known as Gorie or Matsuura Gorie, is a Ryukyuan comedian, variety show host, and musician. He is a Japanese variety show personality host on the Fuji Terebi show One Night R&R. He often appears in drag as a schoolgirl character. He is member of the owarai group Garage Sale. He has collaborated with Jasmine Ann Allen and Yamasaki Joann Shikou and they released 3 singles together. Mickey stayed on top of the single charts for two weeks and was first debut single in the 23 years since Yakushimaru Hiroko's Sailor-fuku to Kikanjuu

He lists the full name of the female cheerleader character he plays to be Matsuura Gorie, as if she were the little sister of Matsuura Aya. His real name and birthyear remain unknown. He frequently appears in magazines and at the end-of-year Kouhaku variety music concert, and is even an exclusive model for Can Cam magazine. At the 2005 Kouhaku, Gorie had a face off between Koda Kumi to see which was the more sexy. Koda Kumi won, but by only 0.2% of the votes.

Gorie first appeared on stage as part of the variety show One Night Thursday in February 2002. At the time, Gorie was a trend-obsessed teenage girl. However, later on Gorie would take the lead role on such skits as Gorie no Ren'ai Manual and Gorie on Yorokobi Life, and would continue to gain fame as a variety personality. In February 2003, Gorie became a model for the teen girl magazine Popteen. In October 2003 Gorie would star with a cameo role in the drama Victory! ~Footgirls no Seishun~ as a cheerleader (his 'big sister' Matsuura Aya was playing a starring role in the drama)

In 2004, Gorie was elected as the mascot girl for Oahu Island in Hawaii. He would release his first single Mickey (backed by Jasmine and Joann) which had its PV filmed in Hawaii. Mickey was originally sung by the UK group Racey as "Kitty" in 1979. However, the version that Gorie covered was the Toni Basil US #1 hit Mickey which has become a cheerleader standard. The single would be a major success, beating out such musical acts as Tokyo Jihen and Porno Graffitti to be #1 for two weeks. This was a record, as it had been 23 years since a debut single had been #1 for two weeks (Yakushimaru Hiroko's Sailor-fuku to Kikanjuu). Since then he has released a single every year. The songs he releases are sung mostly by Jasmine, with backing vocals from Joann. Gorie sometimes yells out things overtop of this.

In June 2006, a new PV with the song Koi no Pecori Lesson. Once again, this song was a cover of a cover. The original was a Billboard #1 hit in 1963 called I Will Follow Him by Peggy March, but the version that Gorie was covering was the Whoopi Goldberg version shown in the movie Sister Act. The music video featured Jasmine, Joann and several dancer kids in nun's habits and in a church for the opening scenes. A total of three PVs would be shot for the song (the first in California, the second at the set of a Japanese period drama and the third a Hello Kitty-themed CGI themepark version. The single, released in September, while still being a hit by reaching #5 was not as successful as either Mickey or Pecori Night.

In 2000, after two years of training, she released ID; PeaceB, her debut Korean album, under SM Entertainment. Two years later, she released her debut Japanese album, Listen to My Heart, under the Avex label.

BoA's multilingual skills (she speaks Japanese and conversational English along with her native Korean and has recorded songs in Mandarin Chinese) have contributed to her commercial success in South Korea and Japan and her popularity throughout Asia. Her Japanese debut album, Listen To My Heart, was released on March 13, 2002. The album was a breakthrough in BoA's career: it debuted at the top spot on the Oricon and became an RIAJ (The Recording Industry Association of Japan) -certified million-seller as well as the first album by a Korean artist to top the charts. A single, "Every Heart -Minna no Kimochi-", was released on the same day as the album. It also reached #12 on yearly charts in Japan of 2002. It stayed on the Oricon Charts for 91 weeks. This album marks the first time that BoA has contributed to her albums by writing and composing.

Lee Hyori, "Hey Mr. Big"

Lee Hyori (also Lee Hyolee and officially I Hyo-lee ) ( born May 10, 1979 ) is a popular South Korean singer and actress. She started off as part of the successful K-pop girl group FinK.L. but has since become a solo artist. Her first album was very successful, winning many “Daesangs” (a Korean award equivalent to “Artist of the Year”) for that album. She was since become the highest-paid female singer in South Korea.

Lee started her career as part of the Korean pop girl group FinK.L. As the oldest member, she would become the leader of the group. Lee was discovered while taking sticker pictures with her friends and was actually the last to join FinK.L., just before their debut January 1998. FinK.L. debuted officially on May 22, 1998 with their first single “Blue Rain”. It was received quite weel. The second release from their first album, became the first of their multiple number one hits. FinK.L. became one of the most popular and successful Korean groups of all-time, rivalling fellow popular girl group.

“It’s Hyorish” is the third album by Lee Hyori, featuring singles “U Go Girl” and “Hey Mr. Big”. A limited edition featuring an alternate cover was also released.

This is the music video for “Hey Mr.Big”. She’s a very good dancer and singer, and I like both her videos live and studio.

Kiss Me Kiss Me, Lee Hyun Ji

Last August, Lee Hyun Ji's new MV teaser came out and got a lot of public's attention due to JunJin's appearance. According to Lee Hyun Ji representative, the MV show her cute female image, and specially at the end of the song, her one way kiss to JunJin. The shooting was done at Gyung Gi in 26 hours. Lee Hyun Ji mini album was released on September 2 with title song "Kiss me Kiss me" and she has set plans for a stage comeback soon.

New promotional posters of Lee Hyun Ji started appearing at various spots in Seoul from 24th August which caught the attention of many Koreans. Lee Hyun Ji has undergone a big transformation from her cute bubbly “Pocket Girl” image of the past with a new sultry sexy image. In the posters, she wears a “Kiss Me” eye mask coupled with bright red lipstick, oozing feminism sexuality.

Many were shocked after seeing the posters, “Is this really Lee Hyun Ji?”, “Her red lips are really sexy”. The words on the right-hand side of the poster had her name and the date “2008.09.02″ imprinted on it which has invoked the curiosity of many, possibly implying that something might happen on that day.

And here's a half live version of the same song.

Yuki Isoya, Biscuit

I love Yuki. She is creative, funny, pretty and incredibly intelligent. She reminds me of Bjork. I know many people don't like her voice but I do. I couldn't find the lyrics of this song yet, but the subject matter has something to do with how perfect Japanese men expect their women to be. Have fun.

This is a cool video by Banana Girl with Lee Hyun Ji. We tried to find the lyrics of the song without succes. Just watch and enjoy.

Wonder Girls, Tell Me, Tutorial

I found these two different videos on YouTube. It's very helpfull for those who want to lear this dance. Not that easy, but the teachings are very clear and good. This is the original Wonder Girls Tell Me Dance Tutorial but it's mirrored so that its easier to learn!
